A.J. Croce Presents ‘Croce Plays Croce’ in the Cape May Summer Concert Series

Singer-songwriter A.J. Croce, son of the legendary Jim Croce, presents “Croce Plays Croce” in the Cape May Summer Concert Series on Friday, August 7th. The show, a special night of music featuring a complete set of classics by his late father, some of A.J.’s own tunes, and songs that influenced both him and his father, takes place at Cape May Convention Hall beginning at 8pm.

Jim Croce was an American folk singer with a short-lived professional recording and touring career, followed by decades of posthumous fame. With sales surpassing 50 million records, including three #1 songs and ten Top 10 hits, Jim Croce’s short career and long-lived legacy are well-remembered through his era-defining standards like “Operator,” “Time in a Bottle,” and “Bad, Bad Leroy Brown.”

A.J. Croce has played music professionally since the age of 15, signing his first recording contract at just 19 years old. “Croce Plays Croce” features such timeless songs as “Operator,” “You Don’t Mess Around with Jim,” “Time in a Bottle” (a song written for A.J.), “Rapid Roy (The Stock Car Boy),” and “Lovers Cross.” Classic covers may include songs by Lieber and Stoller, Bessie Smith, and other folk and roots artists.

Tickets for the show start at $84.13 and can be purchased in person at Cape May Convention Hall or online here. Online orders are subject to a service fee. A limited number of VIP tickets are also available at a cost of $221.41. A VIP ticket includes one premium reserved seat, early entry into Convention Hall, an intimate group photo in front of the stage with A.J. Croce, an autographed 8x10 photo of A.J. Croce, an A.J. Croce wine koozie, an A.J. Croce tote bag, and an official A.J. Croce VIP lanyard.
