Cape May is ready to celebrate Easter Weekend with two beloved, family-friendly traditions that bring the community together each spring.
Kicking off the festivities, the Kiwanis Club of Cape May will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4th at 11am on the beach behind Cape May Convention Hall (714 Beach Avenue). Children ages toddler through 10 are invited to search for eggs filled with sweet treats, with a special surprise awaiting those lucky enough to discover a coveted Golden Egg in each age group. Please note, this event is weather-dependent with no rain date scheduled.
The celebration continues on Sunday, April 5th, with the annual Easter Fashion Stroll at Rotary Park (400 Lafayette Street), proudly sponsored by the City of Cape May, the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Cape May, and the small businesses of the Washington Street Mall. Registration begins at 12pm, with the stroll stepping off at 1pm.
Participants of all ages are encouraged to show off their Easter best, with judging categories including ages 3 and under, 4–6, 7–9, 10–12, and 13+, along with special awards for Best Dressed Lady, Man, Couple, Family, and Best Easter Bonnet (youth and adult). Prizes will be awarded to standout participants.
After the stroll, attendees are invited to continue the festivities by visiting the Washington Street Mall to shop, dine, and showcase their festive looks throughout Cape May’s charming downtown. Please note, there is no inclement weather location or rain date for this event.
